We maintain a high level of technical education among our personnel. Education is a must to stay current with the fast changing automotive industry. We are dedicated to providing you with quality repair services.Beginning the Repair ProcessA technician must first determine what is necessary to restore the vehicle to proper working condition. Information about the vehicle is collected from the customer. Next, the technician will begin the verification process. This is a hands-on investigation and inspection. Depending on the nature of the problem, this can involve a simple visual check but many times requires partial disassembly of the vehicle to do so. A problem that can be identified by sight or feel is what we call a purely mechanical problem. If a purely mechanical problem is identified, at that point we are able to move toward a plan of corrective action.Problems that involve warning lights, electrical systems, sensors and vehicle computers will require diagnostic testing. Through this diagnostic investigation, we are able to identify faulty electrical components, wiring problems, and hidden mechanical issues. Technicians of today's vehicles must rely heavily on the accuracy of their diagnostic equipment. For our technicians to do their part, they are trained to operate our diagnostic equipment properly. To eliminate false diagnosis, we are equipped with the most advanced, up-to-date and reliable equipment that is available.
After the results of the diagnostic tests are collected, we are then able to inform the customer of our findings. As you may imagine, this process can become very involved. Our goal for diagnostic services is to identify the problem and have our customers know that we will keep them informed on all progress. We realize that this stage of the repair process can be difficult for our customers. Keep in mind; we have the best equipment, full access to all technical specifications, manufacturer recall information and 28 years of experience working for you. Performing the Corrective ActionAt this stage, the problem or problems have been identified. Parts availability has been researched. Our customer has been informed of our plan to correct the vehicle's shortcomings. Estimated total costs have been calculated and are available to the customer. Also, an estimated time of completion can be provided. Customer needs, part availability and part cost are all a determining factor for where we obtain parts to repair your vehicle. Our experience also plays a large role in selecting the right parts for the job.Upon customer approval, we confirm orders for parts and schedule dates for service. If the vehicle is not disabled, it's possible that the customer may choose to return with the vehicle at a later date. If a safety or damage risk is present, we recommend parking the vehicle until the problems have been corrected. If the vehicle is disabled at our shop, the necessary disassembly and preparation work can begin or continue. When received, new parts are installed and reassembly is completed. The necessary quality inspection is performed. This is to verify correct operation and to test the replacement parts. When the vehicle passes this inspection, it is ready for our customer. |
